As a prime contractor DCI provides Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliant Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) at DoD Impact Level 6 to the AFSOC in GovCloud and other regions in the United States.
DCI is AFSOC's Cloud service reseller providing services including monthly consolidated billing, monthly detailed usage reporting, and Business Support services. DCI’s cloud engineers are the primary point of contact for any cloud service related incidents. We also provide a comprehensive 24x7x365.25 Service Desk for the Business Support with Level I, II, and III support staff.

Armory Infrastructure Assessment Project

As a prime contractor, DCI performed state-wide network and compute infrastructure assessment of the OHARNG technology assets with the objective of increasing the computing capability at each facility by 20%. Assessment included inventory of assets, identification of compute deficiencies, and mitigation strategies for the identified deficiencies. Mitigation strategies took into account the complex interdependencies of advancing technologies and policies that existed. The assessment served as a base plan to determine additional infrastructure to support this increased capability and provided prescriptive steps to remediate any equipment, policy, and procedural deficiencies that impede achievement of the objective. DCI was awarded a three-year $3.9 million prime contract with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement to migrate and host the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) in the Amazon Web Services FedRAMP cloud. DCI cloud migration team ensured technical compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and all applicable laws, directives, and DHS and ICE policies. SEVP was the first ICE program to successfully migrate development and production to cloud environments outside of the DHS datacenters. Our team created and managed the SEVP cloud environment from its inception in September 2014 through September 2016.

Our role on the ICE ESS project was to provide infrastructure engineering services and software process improvement. Our engineering team simplified, standardized, and automated software change management, configuration management, and release management processes. We provided subject matter expertise in all ICE software development technologies as well as all ICE deployment platforms, including the support of Web servers, application servers, database servers, IDEs, source control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
DCI significantly improved ICE’s capability to manage and govern the software development process, but our contributions didn’t stop there. Our team created and maintained the first ICE enterprise JIRA instance, and significantly contributed to Agile methodology adoption throughout the enterprise. Read More
